I like the Chile coins with flying condor

I agree that it is a nice design. For a long time I have been thinking of taking some photos & posting some Chile coins with the flying condor design. IMO the coin is beautiful in high grade. I believe that the 1/2 centesimo & 1 centesimo coins are large & made of bright Aluminum. The higher denominations like your coin are Aluminum-Bronze which resemble gold in MS.

:D Nice buzzard. I like the flying buzzard much better than the perched buzzard design too.

Not a bag purchase for a buck and a half.

    They are inexpensive

    Hello Ruben,

I was serious when I stated that I like the Condor design. There are some other Chile coins that I would call "handsome".

    Here is a 1/2 Centesimos from 1962 (Aluminum) and a 5 centesimos from 1965 (Aluminum-Bronze).

I spent part of my youth in Chile in the late 60's, as my father was stationed there prior to returning to Europe. I clearly remember paying for ice cream and sweets with those coins. Ah, they bring back memories. The aluminum one would quickly become scratched I remember.
