Is this a real or fake v nickel error

I came across it when buying a large amount of v nickels it is an 1899 has anyone ever saw anything like this?

Looks like someone had to stamp a 5 on there for those that don't know Roman Numerals

And it wouldn't be an error, it's called PMD.

If you're talking about the 5, that's damage. If it's the issue with what's going on from 1 to 4 o'clock, that might be detached lamination. A view of the obverse may help.

 

Depends are you talking about the counter stamp, or the possible lamination peel

I think the issue in from 1 to 4 o'clock is where they clamped the coin to something when they counterstamped it.
