I have been searching through a bag of wheats I got off Ebay and ran into this one. I have Daughtery's book (an excellent read by the way) and have gone to Potter's website. I can't seem to find any reference to this...does anyone have any ideas on this coin?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not an expert and shouldn't be hijacking your thread but many of the 1950s Lincoln Cents I have also have filled in (D) MMs.

It's a pretty common filled MM die chunk. At the moment my mind is drawing a blank as to the real name of this, but it is quite common on the MM, DATE, and even between B & E in LIBERTY commonly known as BIE cents.

It's a somewhat cool piece to have/ add to your collection.
