I would appreciate any assistance that you can offer about this coin's assigned Cohen variety. It has stems, the 4 is raised, crosslet... The nose seems different from the Cohens that I looked at though. http://www.coinfacts.com/half_cents/1804_half_cents/1804_draped_bust_half_cent.htm
The picture of the reverse instantly nails it as a very late stage of C-6 This variety is often collected by die stage and there are somewhere around 20 to 23 different stages. Looks like stage XIV in Breen, and was the latest stage listed in Cohen. I don't know what the stage designation would be in Manley, I don't have that book.
Thank you Conder. I appreciate the assistance. I think I'm going to have to invest in a couple of those books instead of trying to search online each time. While researching the information you provided, I noticed that there are also late stage counterfeits... Now I just have to hope that mine is not one of those! http://www.coinfacts.com/half_cents/1804_half_cents/1804_half_cent_c06_die_state_low_res.htm
