I had a full set but many were raw coins. But I wanted a slabbed set. Just got a 1925-S which was the last one needed. No, this set will NOT make your eyes pop. It runs mostly from AU-50 to MS-63 with one MS-65 which doubles for my Registry type set. As a Registry Peace dollar set it ranks about 130 which proves that it's nothing great. But it's done. Finished. Retired. My #1 active set is still my IHC's. Small-size $1 currency moves up to #2.
That is such great news. I like the Peace dollars. I like your idea to have raw and slab sets. A ranking of 130 still sounds good to me. Heck, you have a full and complete set. That is really great. You did it yourself. That is a cool accomplishment. You should be jazzed. Wonderful!
Kanga: Congratulations on completing your Peace dollar set. Did you send any of your raw coins in to get graded or just buy them all slabbed? TC
congrats. I finally finished my set last year, had it for a couple weeks, and had to sell it to pay bills. never get another chance to make another set.
Trying to use Photoshop Elements to put obverse and reverse together into one image. It's a real PITA to figure out but I finally got it. As far as 1921 Peace dollars go this appears to be an above average strike. Most that I've looked at show large flat areas in the hair. This coin is slabbed MS-62.
I bought them all slabbed. Saves the effort of submitting them AND the grief of knowing I goofed if I get a DETAILS slab back.
