.....I see what I believe to be scraps of paper blowing all over the highway. As I got closer I could tell what it was, and I nearly freaked out. Would you believe it was cash? I was doing 60mph and couldn't stop safely because too many cars were on the road, but one guy in front of me managed to pull over to the shoulder. He's probably out celebrating his "find" right now! Just when you think you've seen it all!
Do you know where the money came from and could you tell approximately how much was floating around? Also, what denomination was it or was it all mixed? Please don't tell us all that it was 50's and 100's
Ha! I wish! I was going too fast to see what denominations the bills were. I saw maybe 30 or 40 of them flying all over the place. But get this: A coworker who travels the same route to work was about 10 minutes ahead of me. When she passed the same area she said she saw what looked like 2 boxes and 1 shrink wrapped package in the middle of the road. She said she almost stopped because they looked like they might have something worth keeping in them, but she decided against it. I know this is going to eventually make the local news. I'll let you guys know what happens.
Probably drug money from the Sturgis Rally. They're (bikers) heading out of town now and jam packing every road.
Yeah, my commute to work is only about 15 miles, and I'll bet I passed 50 bikes this morning. Two weekends ago I was going to work and 15 or 20 Hells Angels were up at the corner grocery store near my house. They were cool to me when I rode up on my bike, but then they saw it was a Yamaha and not a Harley.....
Did you hear about the big shoot-out at Legion Lake in Custer State park? I ride, but the wife and I ride alone, by ourselves. Member of no clubs here... http://www.rapidcityjournal.com/articles/2006/08/11/news/local/news01.txt B
Once while vacationing in FL we started up a ramp and I saw the same thing money going every where. I quickly pulled over and collected $147 and 4 (1 week passes) to Disney Land. I then noticed a wallet and several credit cards off the side of the road. I gathered everthing up and placed it back in the wallet and dropped it off to a police officer I saw. What he did with it is hard to tell.
Character is what you do when no one else is watching and you know you could "get away with it". I agree, well done!
Bone, Yeah, I read about it in yesterday's local paper. Pretty crazy stuff. Today's had nothing about the cash I saw. I'm starting to wonder if the authorities even know about it?
NOW There's a logical assumption. Every person on a motorcycle is a drug dealer, who make so much easy money that they just throw it away.
This is getting off topic---drugs/motorcycle riders/and etc.....I would suggest taking such topic to the General Discussion Forum Speedy Moderator
