my wife found these at an estate sale 1876 spain 5 peseta 1796 uk penny

    good evening,
    was wondering if anyonecould tell me an approximtea grade and price of these two coins my wife got em for me at an estate sale i think she did well

    1796 britain one penny

    1876 spain 5 peseta

    i tried to take good close up pics

    any hekp is appreciated

    How much did she pay?
    The "cartwheel" penny is worth $20-$30 (at least from that side it looks like it is in F condition) . They are quite popular on eBay, especially in higher grades.
    The Spanish 5 pesetas (looks like VF condition) is 0.9000 silver, 0.7234 oz and it is worth $25 - $40. These are quite common and many were minted for this type.
    In any case, both are very nice coins... And what a sweet gesture from your wife!

    i think having a wife whos willing to buy you coins is worth more than anything ... lucky you :thumb:

    fyi se paid 5.00 US for both, I figured the peseta wasworth 20 in silver so decent job thanks

    May be she should start buying the coins. Sounds like she has a good eye for value and nice coins too. Congrats.
