I have been playing around with this app, have not had a real chance to test drive it yet, but looks promising. Coin prices look a little high, but all in all not a bad app and I see they just bundled in the PCGS photograph pics.

Anyone else using this smart phone app or have any other recommendations?

Think I paid a whopping 99 cents. It's worth it.

Because if everything is free people stop putting in the effort to create quality apps.

Free is better, but free doesn't pay the bills. :) I would prefer not to have ads in the app.

    It's $1.99

EDIT: LostDutchman has been a great help offering his services for the app. Thanks again Matt

Many of those quality free apps do have some way of generating revenue for the company, either by advertising or promoting other apps from the same maker. But I will agree that there are some quality apps that don't have an upfront cost.

I used the app quite a bit today. I didnt like the fact that you have to buy the foregin gold and silver calculator. I used iappcracker and got it for free. It will be interesting to see how the commemorative and uncirculated set addition will be. I still wont pay for either, but will deffinitly get them both.

Maybe the person that spent untold number of hours to create it to make your collecting a little easier wants to make a little for his efforts

I have to assume that a program which downloads apps for free (that cost money) must be illegal.
Personally I would choose to avoid such a program and pay the creator the money that they deserve for their hardwork.
I would also choose to avoid dealing with people who feel that using these types of programs is ok.

Sorry you feel that way, but no, jailbreaking and utilizing the benefits is 100% legal.
They made it legal a couple of years ago. You wont do "business" with me because i prefer to save a couple of bucks, so you also must not want to do business with gays, lesbians, transgenders, drugies, oh no?

Wow, not sure where that came from. Sounds like a chip on the shoulder about something.

From what I have read jailbreaking (which is currently legal) an iphone doesn't give you apps for free, only allows you to use apps not in the apple store. The program you mentioned gives you the ability to use apps (that normally cost money) without paying for them.
    There is a difference there.

You are correct, it's not legal to buy, sell, or otherwise acquire cracked apps in the same way that another company can't distribute copies of Photoshop for free. The apps are property of Apple.

It's no big deal, but I do wonder how many sales I'm missing out on.
