Just a note to let everyone know to be careful when they trade. I did a trade about 5 weeks ago with someone who has over 130 posts here on Coin Talk. I sent my coins to him and he supposedly sent mine certified mail. I never recieved them. He said he must have put down the wrong address. He then said the coins were returned to him and he could send them on the 28th of July if I could wait, which I said I could. Again, over 10 days later, still no coins.....he also has not responded to any of my PM's in the last week or so. I will not post his name yet hoping that he will make good on his end of the bargain, but if I do not recieve my coins that were part of the trade, I will let everyone know who it is so they don't get ripped off themselves. I understand that things happen to delay things, but going on 6 weeks to send some coins ??? Cmon.........That is a bit much.

Considering that it is summer, and people have other things going on such as vacations, and the fact that the initial mailing appears to have gone to the wrong address, it might pay to be patient a little longer. Your wait since the discovery of the mix-up has been 10 days, not 6 weeks. I've waited for three months for coins from some pretty reputable internet dealers. Nothing about numismatics seems to happen at the pace that the rest of the world operates at.

On the other hand, there never was an application for sainthood or a requirement for character references when signing up for this site, so buyer beware.

Wow.....sounds like you are sticking up for him. Remind me not to trade with you.

So let me get this straight: the moment anyone attempts to apply perspective to this scenario, you get cheesed-off and immediately state that you will not "trade with" them? Sounds like a knee-jerk reaction coupled with the assumption that someone would want to trade with you. You might want to sit back, take a deep breath, and re-evaluate your assumptions.

Not to mention the one you seem to be making where you assume anyone who disagrees with you is your enemy. That's a terrible assumption to make.

That said, I hope things end up being resolved satisfactorily for you.
