I will buy her book since the Silk Road is my primary interest right now. I sure hope its a lot better than this short little article though. There is like 1000 things left out, but I imagine she was writing a short piece, not a book.
Her book looks like it would be interesting. For anyone really interested in the inner workings of at least the later silk road, (there were different ones), I would highly recommend "Sogdian Traders". Game changing information in there for serious silk road geeks. I have many other titles, including the standards in the field, if anyone wants to PM me about them. I have started work on a major article on History and coinage of the Silk Road. I will be posting it on a thread here in parts. "Major article" sounds pretentious, it would not be acadamic but a primer for the area and the civilizations involved.
