    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

A little off topic, but, The Los Angeles Angels, when translated fully into English, is The The Angels Angels.

I'd actually think a Negro League Commemorative coin would be even more awesome. The Baseball HOF is not that special anymore, as long as you're not Pete Rose (who by the way should be in the Hall) or you admitted to juicing, anyone can make it to the Hall it seems nowadays. ;)

juicers should be in the hall, or pete?

as for cooperstown, it commorates more than mlb and the negro leagues... there is a wing dedicated to the women's league of the 40s and 50s. it is the BASEBALL (not just mlb) hall of fame. the coin should include all levels of professional baseball (which cooperstown does)... white men, black men, women, post-1947 (even though moses walker broke the barrier in the 1880s)... let the coin celebrate ALL of baseball, america's past time!

Heh, I meant to just include Pete, juicers should not be in the Hall.

Edited properly so it's just indicated Pete :)

What I said is NOT political, Reuben.

I was pointing out (for like the 3rd time in this thread) that the HOF commem is NOT an MLB commem and that the Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown is not the MLB Hall of Fame. Those are facts, not politics.

I was also correcting kookoox10's inaccurate count of Babe Ruth's home runs at 715. I pointed out that Hank Aaron hit 715 and that although both of these men were the all-time HR champs, (if that's what the poster was referring to when Ruth's 715 was cited), that the current champion, Barry Bonds is not in the Hall and may not be for a long time. Those aren't my politics, those are the HOF's.

I don't know about you guys, but I just love watching the game......any game. Yankee fan, yeah, but it don't matter who the devil is playing. I've even gone so far as to watch the little guys in a 'pick up game' in the park. Baseball is baseball, no matter who's playing. Love the game.......

And I love the fact that Baseball will be honored on a modern commem soon to come.......:)
