I currently dump my coins at wells Fargo. They have a machine that takes about 1-2 min to sort through $1,000 in halves. One time I went there and the machine said I had 10.dollars less than I counted. I demanded them to credit me my $10 for there machines error and sure enough they opened it up and about 13 dollars of coin was laying in there. On my last dump I ended up a dollar short.

Have you guys ever had any problems with the accuracy of these machines and if so what banks?

I havent had any problems with accuracy that I know of, but maybe considering I never actually count what I'm dumping back in. I have, however, had problems with one Wells Fargo branch charging me fees for boxes and almost charging me to dump as well.

It may not be the bank so much as the type of coin counting machine they have. I find that Talaris and De La Rue machines are accurate. The other no name ones they have in TCF banks are not.

See when ever i dump my coins at TCF Bank they are always %100 percent accurate. I also work their and have noticed them being accurate.

My one bank uses the same machines that TCF uses, I would not advise putting large amounts of dimes in them. 'Nuf said. Besides they now charge 5% and my member owned credit union charges a smile and a thank you.
