This is one heck of a set to complete and it took me a while to find the last coin, which is the 1910 20 chon. Despite the high mintage of 2 million, this does not necessarily reflect how often it appears on the market. All the other coins are perhaps 3-10 times easier to find despite similar or lower mintage number. Here are the pictures: 1905 1906 1907 (reduced size) 1908 1909 1910 Hope you enjoy.
Congratulations. All six are on my want list. The closest I've come to getting one was a Kuang Mu 9 (1905) borderline fair/good on EBay. I was the highest bidder of three, but well below his reserve, which turned out to be $250.00. Where do you find your Japanese Protectorate Korean coins? None of the B&M dealers in my area ever have them, and most of those I do have were purchased from the same dealer at different coin shows.
I have quiet a few old japanese coins dont really know what to do with them not really a collector but they are pretty cool looking coins I live in okinawa japan and my father in law gave me them he said they were worth some money but just dont know how much and what they are
Congratulations! It is always the happiest moment in the collection and then you will move on to the next, hehe.
Speaking of which, I won the last 1 yang coin variety (1898 narrow spaced variety) very recently that I needed for my collection. An upgrade to my 1892 1 yang would be a bonus but that can come later.
