I have a Roosevelt that is graded MS68 by ICG. Is it possible to have it graded by PCGS and if so what grade would it possibly get? With your experiences would it convert over to an MS68?

I believe ICG is on the lower end of grading strictness, so what they might leave go, PCGS could penalize for.

It might cross at the same grade, but the odds are not in your favor. You have three options: 1) submit it to PCGS still in the ICG slab and specify a minimum grade of MS68; 2) submit it still in the ICG slab specifying "cross at any grade" and 3) crack it out and submit it raw.

If Option #3 is not to your liking, then it would seem that Option #2 wouldn't be any better. By using Option #1, at least it would not be cracked out by PCGS if they felt that it wouldn't cross at the same grade.

Edited to add: If you decide to submit it still in the ICG slab as a "Cross at MS68", I urge you to take detailed photos of the coin still in the ICG slab. I have read about screw-ups (not only at PCGS) where a coin had been cracked out and slabbed at a lower grade.

I agree with what has already been posted. Almost every single icg graded coin i have seen would grade a point or 2 lower than what the slab says especially on uncirculated coins. The circulated coins are usually pretty accurate

If you plan to keep it, crack it out, throw it in an air-tite, and just enjoy the coin. If a person you will likely never meet slaps their opinion on a slab to enslave your coin gives you the warm and fuzzy feeling, making it easier to sleep at night, then by all means, waste some money getting it graded again. ;)

Is it worth the $25 to $30 in fees (grading, postage, insurance, etc) for this particular Roosevelt ? Will it increase the resale value that much or more ?

First, being a Roosevelt Dime, you need to determine if an increase from a jump in what is likely a single grade. I seriously dount it would increase even that, but am almost uncertain you could get it to a MS70, I agree with cpm9ball completely. I checked with Numismedia and they don't even have a value shown for grades higher than MS68 for Silver. Unless it's the 1967 SMS the single jump in grade to MS69 isn't worth the added cost. IMHO
