So I got these 12 Series 1963 Star Notes today...I have one from every district. They're all uncirculated and some of them have low serial numbers and cool serial numbers, I think at least!!! If anyone could help me out with some value I'd be appreciative.

Nice, wouldn't mind a set for myself. They look Uncirculated. If so $8 to $10 ea. L-* in my reference book is $30. Must be short supply.

Yeah they're all very crisp and uncirculated. They were my Great Grandmother's and my Grandfather gave them to me today. Me and him are more into coins than anything, but I've taken a liking to paper money as well. If you don't mind me asking, what would be a good reference book to pick up for the paper money?

Series 1963 $1 District Star sets (uncirculated) go for $80 to $100. An interesting tidbit is that some non-star blocks are worth more than the star notes, like the B-C and D-B block notes. The San Francisco (L*) star is the key star note for the series.

Oh that is pretty interesting. I also got a non-star 1963 uncirculated set yesterday, I posted them in the New Aquisition forum. I'm going to grab a reference book and start to learn about paper notes. Thanks for all the info, I appreciate it.

My guess would be that you're buying these sets from First City Currency? If not, did you find a better deal on the sets elseware? I've had my eye set on those sets from FCC for a while now, I haven't been able to find a better deal anywhere else.

I got them for free. My Great Grandmother put the sets together back in the 60's and kept them. My grandfather got them and we found them yesterday looking through some of his collection. He knows I like paper notes and gave them to me!!

Hahaha yeah I'd say so! We also found his 1995 10th Anniversary Set. Ya know, the one with the west point ASE!!! Haha crazy stuff he has and he's just put it all away and forgotten about it!!!
