I have a chance to buy this coin but the only thing that has me on the fence is what looks like scratches between R and T of LIBERTY. What do you think, scratches or something else???? Would this steer you away????

  3. They may be on the slab and not the coin...hard to tell. I usually tell people to avoid these types of purchases as the mark, etc. is not going away and will probably be the focus forever. However, in this case, if the price is right (i.e., less than $100), I would go for it. TC

I like it too but if the marks are on the coin it really goes against what i have going for my Ikes. I want to say on the holder as i do not think PCGS would have graded it MS66 but you really never know? Any how i sent the seller a message and will see what he has to say?

I think it's on the coin. And there are more between the T and Y and below the Y. Looks like there be even more below the L and I. And light abrasions on the cheekbone and jaw line.

    I'd pass on this one.

Good thing you passed. I think the marks would bother you too much to keep it in your collection.
