The following pics are Morgan and Peace Dollars someone is selling. First, he wanted $50 each...then abruptly lowered to $25 each. He said that he received them as payment at face value. Should I counter it with another offer or take it. No mintmarks were given by the seller. I am going to ask him to check the 1928 coin for a mint mark (hopefully there isn't one!) :) Regardless, some look to be in bad shape. What do you think?

I'd offer him 20 and see if he takes it, if not $25 isn't too much over spot.

^ what he said. $25 is reasonable if they're worth nothing more than metal value, but I wouldn't pay more. Right now melt on them is about $21.50.

No offense, but you probably shouldn't be buying (or even consider it) unless you can answer the question on your own. Consider taking some time to learn before jumping in (JMO).

What I think is this - the coins are quite common and you can buy them all day long for about the same price. And you can find most if not all of them in much nicer condition for that price. So what I would do is pass and spend a bit of time looking for them, pick out ones you like and buy the coins one by one.
