Ok. I'm new to the site and I can't figure out how to post pics but I have a 1972 dime that is a different
Shade of nickle color. It almost looks chrome and the edge of the coin shows no copper. On the back it
appears to have had something in the die when it was struck. Any advice on how to post pics will be
Appreciated. I am on an iPad. Thanks. Jerry

Or you can upload your pic to PhotoBucket (or any image hosting site) and paste the link in "quick reply".

From your description, it sounds like it was electroplated and used as jewelry.
