I take it someone is trying to build up their feedback?

Heck, I'd buy it if I lived next door to him.

He must think the majority of eBay buyers don't know the as a seller, has no other feedback to leave but positive.

He can make negative comments in his feedback he leaves for buyers; however, it will not impact the buyer's feedback rating.

Technically, that could be reported for soliciting feedback, which violates eBay policy.

Anyone notice it's for "Local Pickup, only"...in Soso, MS? :D

No returns or exchanges, but item is covered by eBay Buyer Protection. :too-funny:

Another eBay goofball that they will of course ignore, preferring to hassle the victims of PayPal fraud by STEALING funds from their bank account.

Want to fix PayPal? Write your congressman and demand that they be regulated like a bank (which they ARE). End of problems.

As OT as it is, I too have been a victim of paypal fraud. The first time was about 10 years ago on a 300.00 sale for a Lego train set. I supplied the SIGNED signature card as proof of delivery but since he backcharged his card paypal sided with the buyer and stated I hadn't supplied proper proof that he received it. Because there was no money in my paypal account they went into my bank account without notice and took out 300.00. I was NOT well off financially at the time and it hurt us pretty bad that month.

A couple months ago I lost 200.00 on a laptop. The guy left feedback saying the laptop was as described and he appreciate the quick shipment. A week later he backcharged his credit card. I use a different email address for paypal and had no reason to look at it since I hadn't sold anything in a month but when I tried to buy something I showed a negative balance. It was then that I found that since I hadn't responded within 7 days, ebay sided with the buyer and I owed 200.00. I immediately changed my bank account number to prevent them from taking it out of my account and I'm now fighting them over it. I doubt I win but I'll put up a fight none the less.

In both cases you don't say why the credit card company approved the back charges. Was it for non-receipt of the item?

A signature receipt should have been sufficient in both cases...the feedback should have been sufficient in the second case had you brought that to eBay's attention.

I've never sold anything on eBay, but if I did, I would certainly learn when a sale is considered to be final and perform my "Due Dilligence" until it reaches that point. I have to say, not checking email and leaving your funds in the Paypal account seems a bit scatterbrained. :too-cool-for:

In both cases, the funds were NOT left in my paypal account. In fact, I went out of my way to state how I had no money in the account the first time and how because of that paypal went into my bank account. There was nothing "scatter brained" about what I did. I was robbed, first by two crooks, and then by the crooked company they used as a medium.

A reason doesn't have to be given to a seller by paypal. The only notification you receive is that the buyers credit card reversed the charge. I can buy a 500.00 coin from you on ebay, pay by credit card through paypal, and then 2 months later claim that I wasn't the person who bought the coin with that card. My credit card company will believe me, issue a charge back to paypal, and paypal in turn screws the seller, even though the seller did nothing wrong and has withdrawn those funds LONG ago. The fact is paypal is terriffic as a buyer. It is convenient, safe, and their customer service is superb. For a seller, it is quite the oppossite. There is absolutely no recourse if they do what they did to me and countless other people.

There isn't a lot of "due dilligence" involved with selling an item on ebay. You list it, it sells, you get paid, you ship. If you use paypal, you have to hope you dont get a charge back.

Agree completely. That's why I haven't listed anything worth over $50 for several years. Everything is stacked against the Seller. They'll take the "word" of some *** in Bulgaria over the word of a 10-year Seller with a perfect Feedback of 2000.

I understand that PayPal (eBay) wants to protect their interests, but I would think they would require a dispute resolution in favor of the Buyer before honoring the chargeback...assuming they're even in the loop at that point.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought there was a class of PayPal account called the "verified" account. The verified account was one that was linked to a debit account and only used a credit card for backup. The Seller could restrict PayPal transactions to "verified" accounts, only.

Yes, paypal "should" have a proccess in which they have to first find that the seller is at fault before siding with the buyer. They do have a "dispute proccess" set up but it's a sham. If the charge back has already been done, they will ALWAYS side with the buyer, as proven by me showing physical proof that I delievered the item as promised. The second time I was stolen from, I had absolutely no reason to check that email account. The laptop had been sold weeks prior, feedback was left by the buyer, I withdrew the money already.

As Doug stated, they will side with a crook over someone with 2000 feedback. Why? Because paypal has already lost the money. The credit card company already issued the charge back. If paypal cant recover the money from the buyer, they get it from the seller. It's dollars and cents.

Something I've had success with in the past...it's a bit of a pain, but it worked out for me in the long run.

I had a dispute with my former insurance company. I took out a small claims action against them. The court date came, but no one from the insurance company showed up...I got an automatic judgement in my favor. The problem is that there's no one in the court system that enforces the judgement. I filed another small claims case to collect the judgement, but no one from the insurance company appeared for that case, either.

The Judge said there really wasn't anything the court was willing to do to help me collect. However, the Judge recommended I reference the judgement in a Federal Trade Commission complaint. I don't know what the FTC said to them, but whatever it was, it got their attention! I got a check for the full amount of the judgement within a month. :thumb:

Which you agreed to allow PayPal to do when you created your account with them and attached a bank account to your PayPal account for funding your online purchases.

    Your own fault.

If you're going to sell on eBay, you should always check your email inbox you associated with your eBay account, daily.

No one to blame but yourself.
