I have this 1967 1 gulden from the netherlands. I looked the coin up on the ngc website, and according to it it should be silver. I also read somewhere that there are also 1967 1 gulden coins made of nickle. What is the easiest way to tell what it is made of. 009.jpg 010.jpg

You could weigh it. The silver 67 is 6.5000g and the nickel is 6.0000g.

Yours looks like a nickel version and it appears to have a dull sheen to it. I can not be certain from this remove.

My Krause lists the silver one having an edge inscription, GOD * ZIJ * MET * ONS *, while the copper nickel one doesn't.

Yes, my copper nickel ones have the inscription, so the best way is to go by weight.

The 1967 to 1980 Juliana 1 Gulden are not pure nickel and contain some iron. I have some of these and are magnetic. Easy to distinguish by magnet.

    Nickel is ferromagnetic.
