Hello everyone. I have been searching eBay's estate coins and unsearched coins. I feel that they have been searched and cherry picked before sell on eBay. Maybe some of eBay sellers might sell them as a true unsearched lot, but I don't know which one I should trust. I have decide to start my own estate coins hunt. I wonder if anyone willing to share tips and warnings during estate coins hunt? Also, what's best way to find estate coins in local area?
There's no such thing as an unsearched lot, unless you find a buried horde. Even if it hasn't been searched by the person selling it, it has been searched by someone.
As Billray stated, these lots could not be unsearched, and the term unsearched is a marketing ploy by the seller to create interest in the lot, nothing more. A lot of those listings, if you notice, the coins are wrapped in more modern coin wrappers and the coins are supposed to be from a time before those wrappers were made, i.e. 20,30, or 40 years before. These listings are caveat emptor, buyer beware.
