box of nickels

    47 - 1939<1961

    52 - 1964 (not sure why I always gather the 64's, but it always surprises me with how many there are compared to the surrounding dates...)

    Between 64P and 64D they made nearly 3 BILLION!!! More than 7 times the mintage of 1963 PandD nickels, and 10 times 1965.

    what Petro said lol. It always annoys me going through boxes of nickels and getting a huge amount of 64s and to a lesser extent 63s when I want older ones... lol

    I wouldn't save the 64s. Most people don't save any nickels from the 60s (unless they're better condition of course).

    Yes, save all the '64 nickels you find ... then maybe I'll find less :D
