Today I set my record... for the least amount of wheat pennies found in a box. I usually average about 8-15 per box, today I got only 3 :( Looking on the bright side, I filled another box of copper cents.

    Today's results:
$4 Pennies, $10 Nickles, $15 Dimes, $260 Quarters yielded a grand total of one, yes, ONE 1955D Nickle.

Lucky I have some store cashiers that buy my rolls on a regular basis, so I don't have to use those coinstar machines that take 10% or whatever it is they take.

But they don't want halfs or dollars, so those I have to spend on regular purchases, lunch, etc. I used some half dollars at McDonalds today, the cashier looked at them like she didn't know what they were...She probably didn't, half dollars are just not used much anymore, not even put in circulation, as we know.

Heh... yeah. The people at the local grocery store know me as the guy who makes large purchases with half dollars. When I don't spend them, I usually get a "what gives" response.

Yesterday I only got the one old nickle. Well, today I didn't even get that. Nothing. No wheats, no copper, no silver, no gold, no hole fillers. Not even any Canadian.

    At least no slugs.

But like Scarlett O'Hara once said, "Tomorrow is another day".
