When silver was around $40/oz last year, I decided to sell my entire collection of Canadian half dollars. I have been regretting it ever since. Obviously not because of the precious metal, since I I bought them when silver was $12/oz, but because I really liked them. Canada produces some beautiful proof-like strikes and designs. So, I decided to start keeping an eye out for some nice toners. Well last week, it happened. There were 9 separate auctions with a toned half dollar. I was outbid on the first one. The seller did themselves a HUGE disservice by having every auction end at the exact same time, down to the second. I think that really helped me win the remaining 8. Although, I was shocked no one sniped them. Especially since I put in $15 bids for each one. When the dust settled, they ended up costing me about $12 each, delivered. I am very pleased to say the least. -greg
Why is everyone hating on me today? Or are you all hating on Canada? For shame! eh? This is probably the best deal I have gotten so far. Deal with it! -greg
So let them hate. Those are really great coins. Iam not into tone coins but those kinda catch even an eye that dosent buy them.
Wow, they are some nicely toned Canadian half's. I got a set of Canadian silver dimes (early 20th century) off by brother-in-law. Crap compared to your nicely toned halfs.
Wow, those are really beautiful. You guys are going to make me collect coins outside of the US if you keep posting beauties like this. Stop it, I already spend too much on coins.
