I'll admit that I am very new and naive to this coin collecting. I have a 1994-D Washington Quarter with very thick lettering in the obverse "Liberty" as well clear shadowing/doubling in the "N" of IGWT and the "1" in 1994 and slight doubling in other letters/numbers. I also have a 1990 Lincoln penny with doubling on the tops of the reverse in the letters T,D,S,T,T,and E. Is this just machine doubling and no big deal or something I should definitely get checked out by an expert? Thanks!
Welcome!! If there is any way for you to post a nice clear picture there are people here who can help you.
pictures attached I did my best to take pictures through my magnifying glass.. I might be able to try different lighting if that would help.
I keep looking at these two coins and I think my eyes are playing tricks on me. It almost seems like Washington's hair has an extra ridge on the top too. Should I try to post another picture from a different angle? THANKS!
