    Hello,

I know this photo isnt very good but this quarter has just a blob for a mintmark. the outline indicates it should be a D. there is no inside of the D just a D shaped blob. is this a minting error? do you need a better pic to be able to help? thanks in advance:)

Your photo is too blurry to be able to see much but if the 'D' mintmark is filled as you say it is probably a small die chip.

It would not be a DDO (Doubled Die Obverse) because the die is not doubled. Before 1990/1991 mintmarks were punched into the Working Dies by hand so if the mintmark was doubled that would most likely be an RPM and not a doubled die. Hope that makes sense.
