The only benefit is when you go to sell, many folks like to buy the stuff in OGP. Actually, some folks would advise you to remove it from the mint packaging and store the coins separately due to possible toning issues but I've never had a problem. As long as the sets are stored in a cool, dry environment they'll be OK. I've got stuff going back to the sixties that looks as good now as it did then.
Well, I suppose if you want to send it off to one of the major TPG'ers for an 'early' designation you'd have to leave it in the cardboard (sealed) box but I'm not sure if any of them are doing it this trip.
Open that sucker unless you plan to sell it unopened. It's not 2011. If it comes back 69, you lost money. If you want a 70, buy them already graded.
Thats the first reverse proof I have seen. I really expected the reverse to be proof but the obverse circulation stike. I would not have thought of it, but its cool!
