After the auction, I ckicked on the winners feedback area. From there, you can "contact seller". I have not heard back from him yet. A-
Hmmm.....I wonder if he'll leave the seller positive feedback! :rolling: I'd be curious to keep track of that.
After looking at another of this guys auctions I don't think he is taking photos of the COIN....he is taking photos of a photo of a coin....look again and I think you will agree. Speedy
The seller certainly indicates that the picture is of a coin, and of the one that is being offered. The picture is, of course, not that of a coin, but that of a novelty.
On the 1919 lincoln I think I agree, but on 1877 it looks like some crinkles are in the top of the envelope leading me to believe it has some weight. But I am not 100%.
Would you like a 1919 cent from the same guy? http://cgi.ebay.com/Remarkable-1919...ryZ39465QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Just to let you know that I did contact the seller and told her about the fraudulent listing. I told her to contact the seller ( which she did ) and refuse to make payment due to this being a replica / fake coin. I told her to tell the seller that she will hand the matter over to Ebay security if he doesn't cooperate. She is currently waiting to hear back from the seller. She will contact me with the updates which I will pass on to the forum.
Fantastic Vincent! You saved that lady a bundle. I personally have saved so much money by listening and learning from this group. Newbies around the world salute all of you on this forum! A-:thumb:
Actuallt, the seller doesn't call it a cent , it is referred to in the description as a '100% real PENY".
As of now the buyer has not made payment for this fake. The seller is crying the blues and claims stupidity in the whole manner... says the coin is genuine. She ( the buyer ) has told the seller to take a hike. I'll keep you up to date if I hear more.
Well, I heard back from the buyer and she never paid for the coin. Her message was sort of hard to understand but from what I read it appears she turned the matter over to Ebay security , the auction was then made null and void of all bids , the reason was because of violation of Ebay law / policy. Well , anyhow the buyer was saved because of " heads-up" people on this forum. Thanks from her !!
Well I wish Ebay would respond to the person that reported the issue - but glad to hear it worked out.
