1946S Lincoln

    Here is something different. I tried to get a good scan of the reverse on it. The coin seems normal, Other than it has what appears to be the bust of Lincoln on the obv. It is convex which is what is odd. I hope that you can see in the scan what I see sitting here.

    I don't know for sure but it could maybe be a clashed die error.

    Since you say the coin is convex it is possible that it is the result of a capped die strike.

    A possibility but is it convex on the reverse or obverse? Or is one side concave?

    To avoid confusion. The Obverse of the coin is normal. The ghost? image on the Rev is sticking up. There is an obvious bump for lack of a better word.
