I got this at my register today and I almost cried when I saw it... (i know... I'm probably over dramatic about these things...) So... I noticed the following: 1. It's crisp 2. It's a star note 3. It's a low serial (4 digits long) 4. The digits repeat themselves (47 47) I just wanted to share it with you guys because I love CoinTalk and wanted to let you guys know how much of a dork I am :goofer:
Pretty rare find in circulation. Alot of the star notes of recent series are put in the hands of currency dealers through the armoured car companies that receive these notes from the Federal Reserve. Very few make it to the banks we all go to. The armoured car companies pick off these star notes to resell to their currency dealer associates, before these notes reach general circulation. Star notes of any kind in circulation are almost unheard of nowadays for this reason. Any 0000xxxx four zero star note in circulation is a super rare find!!!
