I hate to ask this, because I sound like an idiot.... how do you add pages to an Intercept Shield album? I have a territory quarters page I want to add to my intercept shield album for state quarters. The album (unlike Danscos) doesn't appear to have a screw to undo. I don't want to break the thing pulling it apart and (although it works) I don't want to just stuff the loose page in the back and slide it in its slip. Anyone successfully do this? -Chris
I have the type set album, and it does have a screw. I just held the flat side with my finger, and unscrewed the screw side with a dime laying nearby (but I'd imagine a screwdriver would work better).
If it doesn't have a screw, you can try to push against one side of the screw with a finger from one hand and twist the other end with a finger from your other hand. If it doesn't work, I never suggested it.
To expound on that, if it indeed is a threaded bolt in there, but with no screw head, two pairs of pliers will get it out. Just unscrew it with those.
The problem is that there isn't any access to the bolt / screw. See picture below. There is some sort of bar (two actually) that hold the pages together, but there is a thick cardboard strip glued down that prohibits you from accessing the screws. My thought is pulling will pop open the album like a button, but now I'm not sure. Maybe Intercept Shield just sold me an extra page for an album that cannot be opened.
