That is a Pearl Harbor Medal Listed in Medcalf and Russell Book

Page 125 of Hawaiian Money Standard Catalog 2nd edition (by Medcalf and Russell, 1991) list that "medal" as a bronze. From the words on the bottom left ("Pat. Pending") I calm it to be a 2M-380 variety. Roughly 10,000 were minted in bronze. Catalog price (1991) is $35.

Made in 1942. Estimated to have been released 69 days after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

I wrote up a journal entry at the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) website....I actually posted a copy of the 1942 ad for the Remember Pearl Harbor "pocket coins"...
