Does anyone know if there are more than 1 variety of this OMM published anywhere. I have one that is not the OMM #001 listed in the Jefferson nickel RPM book I am considering sending to CONECA for attribution.
I believe it not only to be a different variety but also a S/D over Horz. D.

Did you check CONECA ? They have 4 RPM's listed for the '54-D - one of them they say " Sometimes mistakenly called D/S " - Click Here

Looks like one of the S/S varieties.

Yes, I know. What I am asking you to do is to go to the link I provided then scroll down the page a little bit. The diagnostics for the '54 S over D is right there and will help you determine if that is what you have or if you do have something else.

Well, I've seen the CONECA 1954 S/D OMM this is the same one in the Jefferson Nickel RPM book but mine is not that one. I brought this to the Baltimore coin show in Dec and showed it to ANACS, the rep I talked with believed it to be a S/D and he said he thought it was listed by CONECA going from his memory. I have looked high and low and can not find other S/D varieties listed anywhere for the 54 S. The pic does not show well but I do believe this to be a S/D/Horz D or a S/S/D
I wrote to CONECA and James Wiles is know doing attributions again so I will send it in along with some other RPM's I have that I can not find listed.
Thanks for the help. Will Post what comes back from James Wiles.
