    My father found it in circulation in 1972. He gave it to me 20 years ago and I've had it in the attic ever since.

    Double Struck Penny?

    Any advice would be helpful. This penny has been in my family for 40 years now. It's been in an attic this entire time and I don't have any real coin knowledge.

    It's a genuine in-collar double strike with significant rotation between strikes.
