Yesterday going through airport security I noticed the TSA agent who looks at ID's had a quarter and nickle sitting on her podium. She saw me looking long at them and said what's wrong? I told her that nickle looked kind of old. She looked at the date and said it's a 42. Do you want it? I said sure. Turns out it's a 42D. Then on my cab ride to hotel in New York City I find a wallet loaded with money. I gave it to the cab driver and said please return to owner. Hope he did. I know the guys who lost it was sweating bullets and figured it gone. That should help me at the pearly gates. Was a good day though even though I was sitting next to a McGailla Gorilla.
Having lived in NYC, I have to say your a good person. Most people would've just left it sitting in the cab and probably not have noticed it. And I have no faith the cabby did the right thing with the wallet, those guys are nuts. Anyway congrats on the find as well!!
Congratulations....the TSA has you now labeled as a coin collector. Just two steps below Al Queda! Guy
If you ever find a wallet with money in it, unless it has any kind of ID, keep it. Although the world is mostly honest, if you ask a crowd a people "who lost this wallet full of $100s" then I bet 5 hands will go up. If it does have ID, never turn it into anyone. Not even the police. Personally return it to the person listed on it, if they are close by. If not, then return it to police.
