Forgot to mention that while I was waiting at one bank for them to grab some halves from the vault*, I asked the teller if she had ever found anything neat. She opened up her drawer and pulled out a '64 half and a stack of red seal $2's! I almost wish I hadn't even asked!

*They said they had about $1000 of halves in the vault, some customer wrapped some bank wrapped. They said that one guy brought in all the customer wrapped, so I bought the $450 of bank wrapped. Turns out they were re-wrapped. The box was the same type and had the same mark that some other re-wraps I've seen, so I just dumped them without searching. This has happened to me before, where the teller says they're bank wrapped but are just this guy's dumps. Oh well.

  5. At my bank I made friends with a teller and I always ask her to save me all half dollars and anything old. When I stopped in last friday I asked her if she had anything for me. She said, "sorry, I only have these two half dollars." They were both 1966 40% Kennedys! I said, "nothing to be sorry about. These are great!" She looked at me like I was nuts, and then I went on my way.

After 5 straight skunks on half boxes we got off the schnied. Last nights box yielded 3 40%ers. Two of them were in one roll. My wife found one and I found the 2. Back on track for a slow and steady month. I beleive that after a stretch of skunks we should be due for a good box but I know it is purely random.

Good luck silver searchers! We will do another box of halves this evening.

Got two silver Roosies out of a box last night
I'm up to 2.7753 ozt for the month
My volume is low because I have not been doing halves because they are simply terrible.
I'm at $2450 searched to find each ounce, it's ALOT better than last month.

Hey everyone...I haven't checked this site in quite some time as I've been busy working on another venture to make money and just being busy with my real job.

I hope everyone is doing well. I've seen a few new members - best of luck to you all!

To the gang that was with me during my entire CRH journey I wish you all well too.

I've officially hung it up as of the end of June. I haven't searched a box in about a month. Like I said, when it stops being fun it's time to move on...well it stopped being fun 9 out of every 10 box of halves was a skunk. Not much return on my time or investments.

I've sitting on my stash and in about 13 months of active CRH, I did manage to score 112 OZ from the wild. So, its there if you want to find it.

I wish everyone well. I'll drop in from time to time to say hello!

Best of luck and God Bless!

    Ace

112 oz. is not bad at all. More than I've found, but I think you did more volume than I do.
Anyway, stay in touch and good luck in whatever else it is you're doing.

Yesterday's dime box gave up a single '62 roosie as well as a Greek something-or-other that I haven't looked up yet:

Today's dime box gave up '64, '53, and '46 roosies. The edge of the '53 was worn and nasty enough that I was hoping for a merc, but a keeper is a keeper!

Picked up $230 of halves in cwr's from a teller a few days ago. Was happy to find a 68' D. I went in today and ordered a box, they said no problem. Looking forward to getting my box!

    Today's results:

    $3 Pennies: 34 copper, 1934P, 1942P wheats.
    $12 Nickles: 1954D, 1956D.
$20 Dimes: 1960D, 1950D. These were in different rolls, different wrappers, so maybe not from same source.
$330 Quarters: one of those Panama coins. Nothing else to note, a few ATBs, all Ds, except the Getysburg, which I already have.
$225 Non-Ike Dollars. Skunk, all Ds of various Presidents, Sacajawea. One extra one though.

I will not be getting any dollars or halfs for a while. The cashiers who take my other rolls don't want these, and if you spend too much of them at one time, they complain.

    Moonshine ....................

Halves haven't been that good to me. I went to my buy bank and got my usual box of dimes but decided against taking a box of halves and got a 2nd box of dimes.

    Box 1 = 3 Roosies
Box 2 = 7 Roosies and 2 Mercs. There were 2 rolls that each had 3 silvers. One had 2 Roosies and a Merc and the other had 3 Roosies.

Glad I picked up that 2nd box!

Last nights box of halves didn't have any silver in it but it did have our third 1987 in it. It must really be a low mintage because we have been doing 5 boxes a week for about 3 months now and that is only the third one. It was a 1987P. We also got 3 NIFCs.
Another box tonight. Good Luck all!!
