Penny on a dime ?

    The Indian head design appears to be "suspect" to me. Possibly struck with counterfeit dies? hard to say for sure without seeing it in hand. The design just looks off.

    I'd hang on to it hunter. Penny on dimes can fetch asking prices of 7-10 mill.

    It looks fake to me IMHO, but I guarentee you will see a penny/ dime that is real in just a little bit ;)

    I'm no expert, but I think that's too light to be an IHC or a silver dime. Not sure though...

    An 1878 dime would weigh 2.5 grams, take away a little for wear....

    Wait a minute! Don't we have the worlds foremost expert on penny on dimes here on CT?

    looks Like it's got signs of being a cast copy some of the lines of the shield have merged. And bumps on the surface make me think that. Has the edge got flat spots?
