Silver Eagle Toning?

In my collection, I have a couple ASE's which I really like. One in particular, my 1999, appears to be toning but it looks a little funny. I have never had a coin that toned (or at least one that toned much) but this one seems to be. I has been sitting in my Dansco type album for a few years and it is gaining colors in a weird pattern. I haven't done anything to the coin that would cause this to happen and all my coins are stored in the same place. Is this just a natural toning, or is something weird going on. Are patterns like this normal with toning?

I have a 1993 ASE that looks similar. I too have been wondering about that.

Ive seen a lot of silver rounds tone like this... since Ive gotten some directly from the mint and not messed with them at all Im assuming this is natrual or somewhat normal.

    It looks like dip residue.

I have to agree with Greg, you can even see traces of the fingerprints where the coin was held.

That's good information to have for the future.
