I like the look but I'm not a fan of hairlines on circulated bust coinage.

I'm not found of the scratches either but even with the rare variety and the over strike?

 

Draped bust coins in any denomination are really tough for me to touch for anything under $5k. There's just too many problem coins out there for me to feel comfortable buying one. Although, they are the prettiest early coins I believe the mint's produced.

Now I like the F-25 better then the F-30 . I'm going to have to think about it . I really thought they were out of my league . It would be the most I ever spent by 2X .

A significant investment no doubt, but a cornerstone in any collection.

 

It doesn't have to be hair-lined or a problem in other ways. Here is a modest one that I bought for a little more than $2k.

Now that I would spend 2K on , she's a beauty . Just cash in a small CD that's only earning .90% anyway . What did she grade this looks way better then VF , more like XF .

 

VF was a good guess. 30. I wanted 35 and would have been ecstatic with XF.
