I do not usually buy "dark side coins" ever, well hardly ever, well sometimes, as a longtime US silver coin collector. I just could not resist this set at a pretty reasonable price:

That's amazing how the toning makes it look like Dragons, and so consistent on every coin!

Australia. I oz Year of the Dragon 10 coin lunar set. Mintage of only 2500, and sold out in a couple of hours at the Perth Mint. Got a nice third party deal. :)

Those are very nice coins. When I saw the topic title I thought it was going to be about toned coins. What is a "dark side coin"? I might have some and not know it.

My venture into the darkside is the junk bin at the local B&M, nothing fancy, but some are just outstanding.

I have the purple one of those. I think it's a great coin. Good looking coins are good looking coins no matter where they're minted.

I would consider myself in the dark if all I collected were US coins. But the rules say to collect what you like and if that is only US then go for it.

The Perth Mint stuff is absolutely beautiful! I think their artistry in terms of engraving, and design, as well as superb strikes matches anything in the world. :)

Well, I must admit the quality has advanced since the cheesy colorized ASE's..........:)

I would have to say that you have been bitten by the bug ! From this point on .......... Resistance is futile ! You will be assimilated !

Abandon all hope once bitten. The power of the Dark Side shall sweep you up in its arms, envelop you in its essence, and command your attention !

Your mixing up your movie and tv metaphors. Resistance is futile has nothing to do with the path of the dark side, or Jedi warriors in the general.

Do you really think I am not aware of that ?

Use your memory Ruben, go back to when you first joined this forum, and see if you cannot recall similar posts made by me.
