I'm trying to find out if this coin is a mint error
or a fake. This a scan of the James Buchanan taken with a scanner.
Thx for any help I can get.

What do you mean, a white coin? Is it minted in silver?

Presidential Dollars are golden in color, this one is silver color.

Weigh your coin. A Presidential Dollar should weigh 8.07 grams.
Your coin is supposed to be a copper core plated with a golden colored alloy.
If it is on a quarter planchet, it will weigh 5.67
grams and show a copper core around the edge.

The Coins weigh is 8 to 9 grams, it does not have a copper core.
It does have the wording and 2010 around the outer core.
    Thx

I am going to guess plated, look on the edges for any possible golden color coming through.

I'll vote plated as well, these are plated by other companies after leaving the mint, and many collectors refer to these as damaged coins.
