    Commemorative coins are fun for a variety of reasons. Usually, the symbollic concepts that conceive them provides an interesting design to consider.

    For personal aesthetic reasons, I have long liked this quiet little gold quarter eagle ($2.50) 1926 Sesquicennential of American Independence commemorative coin.

    The 2008 Bald Eagle commemorative coins were also something that attracted my attention. I own the 2008 Proof silver $1 and the 2008 proof gold $5 coins.
