I would like to give a thank you to everyone here on coin talk. I don't really know anyone personally interested in coins so I can't talk to them about any of this stuff. Everyone here has been very helpful and kind answering any questions I had. Thank you.

I want to thank lucyray for being so helpful to me in getting the items to send to Herman and for working me through it, as, aside from mailing packages overseas, which I have done before, I had never organized anything like this before.

I want to thank all the knowledgable people here (very many people) who are always willing to step in and provide nuggets of knowledge that help me learn.

And even the moderators, I want to thank them. I won't say why, so they don't let it get to their heads.

Hmmm...there's a lot of people to say "thanks" to...I'll give a quick list:

gbroke: One of the few guys that stands out to me who keeps CoinTalk lighthearted. Many forum members are starting to get heated up a lot unfortunately. He seems to stay cool as a cucumber (or "cool as a celery" as spoken by one of my confused friends).

BadThad: Very knowledgeable in the Lincoln cent department; has been very helpful posting various tips and insights on that series, both here and on LCR.

WingedLiberty and robec: I've put you two together b/c you share the same passion as I do -- finding brilliantly toned Lincolns! (and other series too...but mostly lincolns ;) ). I've really enjoyed the pictures on the NEWPS/Toned Coin threads, and your pictures (both TrueView, iPhone pics, and robec's setup pics) show off the great color, and give me hope in finding one half as great as yours on the 'Bay. If not, I'll just have to mug one of you.

And, of course, the moderators. Without them, this site would be a lot less polite and organized.

I want to thank Kirkuleez. This guy has been a great help to me in collecting. He has sent me coins and supplies to help me with my collection, and even when I offer him money he doesn't accept it because he's that good of a person. When ever I can't find any coin information online, I ask him and he almost always has the answer. Whenever I ask him the value or grade of a coin, he doesn't just state a value or grade, he also provides solid reasoning to why the coin is worth that much or why it would get that grade. I didn't know anything about the 1964-d peace dollar before I entered one of his contests. I learned a lot from him.
Thanks for all your help Kirkuleez, and JCB1983 for this contest!

I want to thank Jason for all his awesome contests. I might have to start buying lottery tickets every day if I end up winning this one!

And I think we all appreciate the "behind-the-scenes" people that keep this site up and running strong. Thanks so much for all you do!

  19. Cazkaboom

Cazkaboom One for all, all for me.

I have many, MANY thanks to give.
First I would love to thank my friend Raymond (Not on the forum) of whom I have met through coin dealing for helping me both in coins and personal life. You have become a second father to me last summer and I hope your endeavors in business help you thrive.

I would like to thank Greg (Gbroke) for helping me expand my collection and expand my knowledge through his website where I track my collection and read sooo much about type coins.

I would like to thank You (Jason) for helping me by encouraging me to keep moving on with numismatics as a "More than a hobby" hobby. You have encouraged me to learn every detail of what I can about numismatics and have landed myself a sort of job in numismatics. Your help has been great.

I would like to thank Herman (Koen's brother) for telling us about Koen's unfortunate event, without him we aall wouldn't know about it. And for continuing his Legacy in continuing Koen's collection for his kids.

I would like to thank both Kasia and Lucy for being the spokesladies oof the coinmunity here. You two are the front page example for why we are so tight-knit here. You ladies found out what happened (In terms of Koen) and immediately did something about it through the deepest care from your hearts. I thank you for helping Herman with his endeavors of continuing Koen's collection and letting the many of us who helped as well in on it. What you two put together had warmed my heart and made me have that much more faith in humanity.

And thank you to all the wonderful people of cointalk for making me realize that coins is not a hobby, but a way of life inside our own community, whether I am talking to you in person or while I am wasting my time on a computer. The Sharing of this hobby between Well developed numismatists and fresh meat has been the greatest learning experience of my life. And if it weren't for the graciousness of the people of Cointalk, I would still be that "Redbook Ron" getting scammed off craigslist.

And Lastly, and the most, I would love to thank my dad for taking the time to sit and learn about numismatics with me and even taking up an interest in coins. He picks up books and reads them, he and I go to coin club meetings, we go explore coin shoppes and the such. He has also given me some money to go have a ball at the PNNA show with a friend.
He and I didn't take much time to agree with eachother; yet stand to be together, but he and used to I butt heads on every subject of discussion, but since he and I have worked to be more understanding of eachother, things have become much better. He took up numismatics mainly to be able to spend more time with me and to get to a deeper connection than we have ever made. Nowadays we still argue, but it was never as intense as what it used to be. I no longer put my fists up in challenge to his authority, and I have been to attend more numismatic happenings such as coin clubs and coin shows. I have now learned that he is not out to get me, but to show hard love and that he cares about what I do in the future. And I think by doing this, he is telling me I have his okay to pursue numismatics as a career.
    Thanks Dad.
