i was just curious if i should be pulling and date of penny. people collect the anything with an s mintmark,all 87's,all 82 p's,all 1999s, and 2002 or newer in half dollars. i was just wondering if there were any dates on pennies that are worth keeping. thanks.
Get a copy of the Red Book and it will tell what "cents" are rare/errors/worth keeping in circulated condition. The 1974-S is the last year that business strikes were minted for the cent. After that the S mint mark is only on Proof coins, unless I'm mistaken. Checkout Coinresource.com or coinfacts at the PCGS site. Good luck!
