I have gone to the dark side, starting collecting different world coins and currency. I am starting a collection of notes from Russia (and bought one from Belarus, too). Unfortunately, the watermarked paper doesn't show in the scans, and the colors are showing a bit more intense than I see in hand. I will have to work with my scanner to see which settings seems to pick up the true coloring the best.

Here are some of the ones I have:

I like these, too! I don't generally collect foreign notes, but here's one I picked up recently in the bargain box. Too bad about the markings, but I couldn't pass up the patriotic airman.

Well, been playing with my scanner and redid the ones I had up previously and did some more. I will have to give better information on them later.

An old bond from the Government (large Green one) and a fantasy bond of sorts (modern) by a shyster con (bilked billions out of people on a pyramid scheme/this one was one of the better paper ones)

Some Older Rubles and Kopeks (paper).

The 100 rubles is normally folded by people at the edge the way you see it. I opened it up so you see it as it was printed, too.

Ok, here is a 3 kopek stamp money as well as an inflationary era 25,000 rubles. And the Belorus 50 Kapeeks.

I think all these are pretty true to color. I finally decided to use the photo setting on the scanner to get it to truer color. The color document can really pick up things that you can work with, but the colors are too intense for what you really see.
