What do you think of PCGS Collectors Universe?

Smart people here, smart people there, I've learned lots from both.

 

CoinTalk seems more welcoming to new collectors and their coins.

 

Yeah, you can't say something like:

That worn $2 bill is worth $2.

 

I lurk more on CU than anything else. I used to post there but the arrogance is just a little too much for me.
The constant need to worship other members due to what is in their collection or how much money they have is sickening.

The Kool-Aid drinkers told me PCGS has never over/under graded a coin by two points or more. (Meaning, for example, there are no MS62's in MS64 holders, no AU58's in MS64 holders)
But apparently...according to some members over there, NGC has done this. (Which they have, but they would still deny that PCGS had)

A lot can be learned at that forum, but I have learned more and gained more on this forum than anywhere else.

 

They don't censor anything. They ban the member if they speak their mind. It's a dictatorship. Willis has set himself up as God almightly.

 

I've read useful and informative posts on both CU and CT. Never posted anything useful, but I've read plenty:smile

I have no idea about the quality of the discussions or members at CU.
All I can say is that the 1990's called and want their forum software back.
I can't get past it.

I joined there a while back to use thier buy/sell section. That forum is way too difficult to get used to.

CT has a lot cleaner look and more straightforward I think.

Also the people here seem friendlier and more willing to help anyone with questions.

 

We need a Geezer clarification.
