I'd like to get a poll going on weather you believe CT Coin Chat should be brought back. Granted there are a number of barriers that have been discussed in the past, but if there is a will there is a way. What if coin chat was limited to CT subscribers (paid subscriptions)? This would help finance the creation of such a chat room. I also happen to know that there are a number of computer programmers on this site. I will not name them by name, but about 5 come to mind. How about mods? I do not think that the regular mods should have to sit in the chat rooms at all time... all we would have to do is report any violation of the chat room rules to the mods that are online. If the infraction is bad enough they could lose their priveledges to the chat room. I'm just brain storming here. Personally I spend atleast 2 hours a day on CT. To me it is more of a place to hangout than just discuss coins. If it is just not possible... is there anyway we could bring back games or get somone working on it? Finally I just want to thank Peter and all of the mods for all of their hard work.
This would be awesome. JCB is right if members had to pay to use it then they would ultimately have to be respectful because being banned would mean essentially losing money.
I never used it when it was available. Most of the topics I want to discuss publicly, I did through the threads. If I wanted to confer with a member, I did it through the PM. I haven't missed it.

A better poll would be to see how many people want this site to work on Tapatalk again. It worked for a couple months earlier this year. It was great. Then it just went away. Has never worked on my phone since. The full browser version of CT on my phone requires so much maneuvering that it isn't worth coming to. With tapatalk, I could easily see what was going on and respond on the go. The mods claim it can't work anymore. I"m on other forums using the same forum software and they work with the app just fine. Oh well.
This also makes me a sad panda. I love tapatalk. Other forums using this board software still work for me too.
I found the "Tapatalk" ad to be annoying. I don't blame CT for modifying the protocol to stop their freebie ads. Chris
Not exactly. What Peter has said is that he cannot get it to work - as in he lacks the ability and knowledge to be able to make it work on CT. Bit of a difference there. As for the chat room - it was the membership that killed it. Yeah - you guys ! People refused to follow the forum rules and all we got was complaints about it. So the chat room went away. It is impossible to moderate it because you'd have to have a mod there 24-7 365 days a year. And that's not gonna happen. So - no chat room. You want to talk coins, talk coins. That's what the forum is for. You don't need a chat room to do that.
Tapatalk will be back when I figure out how to fix it. Chat, well, maybe but only if/when we get a full team of dedicated moderators for it (ie, not the current moderators), and some chat software that works well with the forum and has a decent set of moderation tools.
FWIW - I had used an IRC channel that can be used on freenode. I, myself, is sick of instant messaging, as if Email wasn't fast enough.
You left out an option: * Use the chat that's been available, for free, ever since the CT chat went away. It requires Java and a valid e-mail address. No advertising, active links, avatars, image posting, room dedicated to coin discussion. Link's in my sig, where it's been all along.
I'm sure a couple of minds on this forum (not mine) could help you get it up and running, I've missed it as well, but there are a lot of brains that I'm sure could help you out.
How about contacting the owners of tapatalk? Im sure they would help you get this forum up and running again as it would mean more customers. It might be a fairly easy fix.
