Yeah, perhaps I spoke too soon about potentially having bad luck today... just got 8 silver quarters from a teller tray. I must have asked her about 5 times if she was sure no one else wanted them too.

So far so good for today!

Everytime I think I see a silver quarter in a teller tray it turns out to be a Canadian quarter. The tellers seem to know what I'm looking for as well when they show me that it's Canadian as they tell me "no silver", lol. Usually I can tell in a few seconds by looking at the shine and reeding of the edge but it is much more difficult to tell at banks that have bulletproof glass at the teller windows. Anyway, finding 8 at one time is a pretty good and rare find.

    One by one!

One of my tellers called this morning. She got in three rolls of half dollars and called to tell me they had some old ones mixed in if I wanted them. I just went by to pick them up before she went home for the day. They only had 5 silver halves and 1 proof. The years were 1968D, 1968, 1967, 1964D, and ....1921S!!! Very low grade but it fills a hole.

I am down to only 5 Walker halves to complete my set pulled from circulation! So close yet so far hahaha.

Well, it turned out to be a pretty good Friday the 13th. In addition to the 8 teller tray quarters I also had a great halves box, with 4x 90% (including a 90% ender) and 3x 40% and my first 1987P.

I guess the bad part about today was finding out someone dumped $190 in halves at one of the banks I pick up from every day. Hopefully it's a one-time thing, and otherwise it's been a great day.

Still have the rest of a box of nickels to go through that have already produced 3 war nickels and a buffalo, plus whatever change I pick up tomorrow, but I'll post my weekly results at some point tomorrow.

    Friday the 13th results:
    $2 Pennies: 23 copper
    $8 Nickles: 51P, 57D
    $10 Dimes: Skunked
    $220 Quarters: 2 extra, 1964D Silver:smile
$0 Half dollars, they never seem to have any.
$2 Dollars: 2011P Indian theme hole filler.

A bunch of foreign coins from a cashier I often give the newspaper to. One UK dime equivilant, one Canadian nickle, a couple of Euro coins, the rest Israel.

And of all the quarters today, twelve, count 'em, TWELVE were ATBs. Naturally, the only P was a Gettysburg, which I have. Maybe the Mint isn't making as many ATBs as they did the State series, which doesn't make it easy to get those Ps here on the West Coast.

One thing I found odd was that I got a box of pennies, some of the rolls were uncirculated. In one of these rolls I found a 1957 Canadian and another 2 wheat cents. Apparently some circulated pennies get mixed in with the uncirculated pennies when wrapping.
