I am finally getting to my world coins which were inherited. Please let me know if you recognize anything or if there is any value here. Thank You Very Much. I'll be posting a number of pictures throughout the day but I'd like to start with this spanish coin? It is dated 1796 and has "Del Gratia" inscribed on the obverse as well as "Carolus III" The reverse has a coat of arms and says something "Rex"

These one reale coins in that condition are not worth much. I have bought groups of them for not much per. Its a cool coin, but in low grade not very valuable.

I think this is actually a Mexican coin, could you weigh it for me please? So I can see what its denomination is. (more than likely one real but just incase), correct me if I`m wrong about the Mexican coin but thats just my opinion
    Thanks
    -Owen
I have a suspicion its a Mexico 2 Reales as I can see a 2 at about ten (clock) on the coin

A 1922 Swedish Kronor, mintage of 201,821, apparently bullion value...
But I would say a bit more

Brazil 100 Reis mintage 35,817,000, worth about $1
1861 Nova Scotia Penny mintage 800,000, in fine its $5 but I am terrible at grading so yeah...

I believe you are right Owen. I see the two also. These are tough not seeing the size of the coin. A 2 Real is a little better coin, but not in that shape.

Well I just found a number of canadian 10 cent pieces from 1916-1918, a Washington D.C. tax token from 1935 and an 1865 2 cent piece. I think I'm going to call it a day. I'm think I'll get back to sorting tommorrow. Thanks for the help.

Your rupee is worth about $8 (two mints but both have mintage around 200,000,000)
10 French centimes mintage 13,327,000 probably a dollar as yours is a little worn.
Tokens I know close to nothing about :rollling: sorry
And Chinese/Asian coins in general I know nothing about and take no interest in them, too hard to read (to me atleast)
    Thanks
    Owen

Looks to be a 2 reale to me. I agree little if any value though, less than $10 probably.

And Jason, it's Carlos IIII not the III.

The coin in post 13 looks like a 5 or 10 cash coin from China. I don't have my book for it to look for more info. Circa 1910, I'd guess, and while some of those have big book values, most are worth around a dollar.

Where are you guys getting the mintages and the prices from? Is there a "Red Book" for world coins?

Krause books have most mintages. If someone really gets into a certain country I recommend specialized books though.
