I received a birthday present of a subscription to Nusmismatic News. I got the first issue for July 10th right around the 3rd of July. Have any of you gotten the 17th yet? The folks at the paper said I should get it by 24th. I would think it would come out sevaral days before the publish date. Thanks for the help.
You should be getting these in the mail about 1 week before the publication date, give or take 7 days. This is not to be construed as a snarky answer. It is based on my personal observation of USPS delivery times.
I have to admit when I subscribed to a couple of magazines they never seemed to arrive in a consistent manner. Be it when they were mailed or the USPS. I was always just happy they arrived.
I've had numerous times where I've received two or more issues of Numismatic News / Coin World on the same day. Almost like the mailman saves them up and brings them over when he's done reading them. Having said that, I've let my subscriptions lapse a few years back because CoinTalk is way better.
I wouldn't be overly concerned. I had subscriptions to CW & NN for many years, and I noticed that the issues preceding and/or following any holiday never seemed to follow a consistent pattern like the rest of the "non-holiday" issues. Chris
